Common Data Connector – List Records Action – Fetch XML

I have a common issue that happened with me and may have faced other people too , well the issue is that i can’t the Lovely FetchXML option on the CDS List Records???!!!

I like Fetch XML and find it very quick to use than the OData Filter? So where is it , I can’t find it on my List Records Action.

So in my flow i choose to add an action , Search List Records , Found it …

But Then, i can’t find the FetchXML Property , only the ODATA Filter can be found.

After a couple of investigations i realized that there is 2 CDS connectors:

1. Common Data Services
2. Common Data Services (Current Environment)

So the Fetch XML is not found on the Common Data Services but found on the Common Data Services (Current Environment).

So to achieve this , you need to do the below:

1. Create a new solution -> choose to add the flow from inside the solution as the Common Data Services (Current) is not available if you are trying to create your flow from outside a solution.
2. Click Choose Action-> in the search box -> Type Common Data Services (Current Environment)

3. Choose List Records and you will find the Fetch XML option.
